How to track your workouts

Blast allows you to quickly and easily track your workouts or start a predefined routine.

Creating a New Workout

Tap “Create a Workout” (1) on the home screen, and the empty workout screen will be displayed.

From the empty workout screen, you can:

  • Assign a name to your workout (2)
  • Add exercises to your workout by tapping the + button (3)
  • Start the workout (4)
  • Estimate the workout duration (5) based on exercise repetitions and sets

Adding Exercises to the Workout

Start adding exercises by tapping the + button, and the exercise search screen will appear.

  • Use the quick filter to find the exercise you want to add (1)
  • Tap on the exercise row to add it to the list (2)
  • Remove an exercise from the list by tapping its icon (3)
  • Tap the filter button to open the muscle group filter screen (4)
  • Confirm your selection by tapping the validation button (5)

Blast allows you to configure the equipment (1) and execution (2) for each exercise. For example, you can choose to bench press using a barbell or dumbbells, or perform chest presses with a unilateral execution when using a machine.

Supersets, Trisets, and Giant Sets

You can link and unlink exercises by tapping on the link icon (1) and (2). This will create a superset, triset, or giant set, depending on the number of exercises linked.

Set special sets

To add sets, simply press the + (1) button, and a regular set will be added to the current exercise, reusing the latest repetitions and weight if available.

You can also create warm-up sets, drop sets, or failure sets by tapping the set number button (2). This will open a contextual menu that allows you to configure the set as desired.

Starting a Workout

When a workout starts (1), it automatically enters immersive mode, hiding the header to give you more space to focus on your workout. You can exit the immersive mode by tapping (2).

Once the workout begins, the timer starts (3), and you can log your sets (4).

When logging sets, the workout progress bar updates (1), and the auto rest timer begins (2). Completed exercises are shown in green (3).

To finish a workout, tap the Finish button (1). If you haven’t completed all your sets, a popup will ask you to decide how you want to complete the workout (2). Once finished, the success screen will be displayed with a quick summary (3) and your new personal records (4).

If not all sets have been validated, you can choose to:

  • Finish the workout and delete the unvalidated sets.
  • Finish the workout and automatically validate the remaining sets.
